The equipment listed works with the XL Spider. We offer two XL Spiders. The only difference between the two is how far each drops into the fire ring. The Flip3 XL Spider drops 1.25 inches and as the name implies works best with the Flip3 Ring. The longer drop provides the needed headroom for an indirect set-up under the XL grid and Flip3 Ring. When set in the platesetter notches, the drop increases to approximately 2 inches.
The XL Spider drops 0.75 inches and is recommended for the XL Adjustable Rig. The 0.75 inch drop positons a Ceramic Stone at the same height as the XL platesetter sitting in the platesetter notches. When the XL Spider is placed in the platesetter notches, the drop increases to approximately 1.50 inches.
If your goal is to get as close as possible to the lump, the Flip3 XL Spider is the best choice.
