Woo3 Extender
Woo3 Extender for Large Woo3

The Woo3 Extender provides a quick and easy way to add a second grid above the Large Woo3 & 18" grid set-up. Setting the Woo3 Extender is as simple as placing it on the 18" grid. The Woo3 Extender also works with the platesetter and 18" grid configuration.
The Extender's grid diameter is 16.5". As a size comparison, it's a smidge bigger than the inside diameter of the Big Green Egg® fire ring, so it's like grilling on the fire ring. The Woo3 Extender's three support legs drop through the lower grid to minimize sliding. The lower ring provides added stability against tipping. The front portion of the lower ring is cut-away for unrestricted access to the lower grid. The cut-away opening is 12-1/2" wide, so two racks of babyback ribs fit.
Material is 304 Stainless Steel, 1/4" or 3/16" diameter round bar. The Extender is Electro-polished for an improved cooking surface. It's a stout Extender, as it weighs 3.6 pounds. Made in the USA.
The unrestricted, vertical spacing between grids is 3" minimum. It is 9" to the Big Green Egg® daisy wheel top. It's 7.5" from the fire ring to the Extender's grid when sitting on the Woo3.
Note: With the Woo3 Extender on the Woo3, the dome thermometer can get in the way. For options with the thermometer, click here.

The Woo3 Extender gives you the ability to quickly add a second grid above the grill's 18" grid. It's handy for cooking direct, hotter and higher in the dome. Or, the Woo3 Extender gives you the ability to position a cooking grid at the felt line.

For an elevated indirect set-up, slip the 13" Ceramic Stone and Drip Pan on the large 18" grid. Or, add a Stone and Drip Pan on the Woo3's lower ring for a two grid indirect set-up.

If you are an experienced pizza baker, you might try your hand at two pizzas. Since pizza is such a personalized cook, we'll leave the exact baking details to you, but a couple points are: (1) limit stone diameters to 13" max; (2) use the same size stones or if the stones are different sizes, use the smaller stones as the baking stones; (3) limit pizza diameters to 12", so they slide in/out between the Extender's legs; (4) placement of the baking stones is one on the Woo3, the other on the Extender; (5) the third stone, indirect stone, goes on the Woo3's lower ring; (6) if needed, try rotating the pizzas instead of the stone/pizzas during the baking; (7) if possible, rotate the two baking stones between pizzas; (8) you'll need a pizza peel with a maximum 12" wide blade end.

Here are a couple points on pork butt. With pork butt, plan on one large butt atop the Woo3 Extender. The curvature of the dome makes it a tight fit for two butts. With butts on the lower grid, chances are the Woo3 Extender will rest on the butts. If large butt cooks is your thing, then the Adjustable Rig/Spider combo is a better choice. The Rig’s flexibility with grid placement provides more options and better spacing.
