Can the Woo3 be set-up to create an indirect (platesetter like) configuration? Yes, the 13" Round Ceramic Stone on the Woo3's lower ring is very similar to a platesetter set-up. After the 13" Stone, you can add the 13”x17” Oval or 8”x16” Half Ceramic Stones to create specialized set-ups.
Does Big Green Egg® Large pizza stone fit the Large Woo3? Yes, Big Green Egg's 14" (Large) stone fits the Woo3. To insure proper airflow, we recommend the Woo3 is kept out of the fire ring dimples when using the 14" stone.
Can I use the Woo3 and platesetter together? No, there is no reason to use both at the same time.
Can I use the Woo3 Extender with the platesetter? Yes, but you'll need to set your grill's 18" grid atop the platesetter. The Woo3 Extender uses the grid as its platform.
What size objects fit inside the Large Woo3? Any round object (ceramic stone, pan & grid) must have a diameter less than 16-3/4". We recommend 13" as the maximum stone diameter. We recommend using a Stone under any drip pan.
What size grids fit atop the Large Woo3? The cooking grids that came with your Big Green Egg® or Kamado Joe® fit atop the Rig. The Kamado Joe grid can't have the full quarter hinge section. Our 18.25” Stainless Large Grid (replacement grid) also sits atop the Rig.
Where do I store the equipment? We recommend you store the pieces in your grill. The Woo3 Extender is designed to sit inside the Woo3 for compact storage. The stones and drip pans fit inside the Woo3 too.
Do I need to clean the equipment? Other than the cooking grids, there is no reason to spend time and energy cleaning the equipment. Do not clean the ceramic stones with liquids or soap. Dawn Power Dissolver works great on the Stainless grids. Wrap drip pans in foil for easy clean up.
Can you put a grid on the Woo3's lower ring? Yes, but we really do not recommend.
